The role of robots in military, paramilitary and industrial applications is expanding. Today, robots are used for EOD, ammunition disposal, remote surveillance, monitoring, target designation and riot control.

Industry is searching for a safer way to handle chemical, radioactive and other hazardous waste materials that will not endanger humans or expose them to potentially fatal substances.

IMI's family of innovative robot systems offers the ideal solution. Each robot offers features, maneuvering capabilities and add-on components emphasizing easy operations, performance and simple maintenance.

The man-machine interface enables operators to master the robot with just a few hours of practice. Video cameras keep the operator in the picture; a simple, easy-to-use control panel provides delicate movements with a few simple controls.

IMI robots can be equipped with a variety of optional components, including shot gun, weapon systems, riot control equipment, water cannon, laser designator; disrupters, NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) sensors, charge placing and operating mechanism, cellular telephone, microphone, loudspeaker and searchlight.

Designed for minimum maintenance, the robots' design ensures easy access to all parts. Line replaceable components speed up repairs.

IMI robot systems are controlled using computer coded secure radio signals or through optional cables. They can be recharged by plugging them into a standard wall socket or by using an optional charging system that draws power from an EOD van engine.

EOD
the TSR-700 was desined for heavy duty action. Its 7 hour operating envelope and powerful engine let it travel at 3.1 mph (5 kph). Independent 4 wheel drive moves the robot over the most difficult wet or dry terrain.

The TSR-700 combines brains and brawn. Its long arm can reach up to 8.2 feet (2.45 m), whil 7 degrees of freedom and unlimited gripper rotation enable the robot to perform the most delicate operations. The standart TSR-700 can lift up to 300 lb (140 kg) whilr the special version can lift an impressive 484 lb
(220 kg).Both versions can tow a 2 mertic ton (4400 lb) vehicle.

A pan and tilt and a fixed arm TV camera with halogen lights give the TSR-700 round-the-clock capability. The radio system has up to a 1 mile (1600 m) operational range.

Optional attachments include:
NBC sensors, water or chemical spray cannons, decontamination system, microphone, shotgun, laser designator, a variety of disrupters and charge detonators, X-ray and other detectors, a water cannon, rocket laumcher etc.

EOD
The compact Hornet Mk 5 can be easily transported in a car or van and carried by 2 people. Small byt tough, this robot can climb srairs, go under cars, and roll throught aircraft and offices. Its 5 degrees of freedom arm provides delicate movement for the most difficult tasks it can reach 67 in (170 cm) and can fire a shotgun under a car or through most car windows.

Two color TV cameras, proportional driving control and 360 degrees pivot turning make the system easy to operate. The Hornet can work for 2 hours. It can be recharged sinply by plugging it into a socket or using the optional recharge unit that connects to a car or van engine. The robot has a maximum operating range of 850 feet (328 feet with cables).

Optional attachment include:
shotgun, laser designator, disrupter, microphone, megaphone cellular phone, X-ray and other detectors.

Hornet Mk-1

The ultra-compact system offers no-frills performance for EOD and detection. Detection for local police and EOD teams, the cost effective Hornet Mk 1 can fit in the trunk of a compact car and can be deployed in minutes - whenever and wherever it's needed - by just two people.

Equipped with one black and white TV camera and halogen lights, this system is extremely easy to control and maintain. The tracked power train lets the Hornet Mk 1 move into tight spots and remove or disarm suspicious packages while its robot arm can reach up to 20 in (50 cm.) and lift 17.6 lb (8 kg).

Radio operated with optional cable controls, the Hornet Mk 1 functions for 1 hour without recharging. It can be plugged into the wall or be recharged using the optional vechicle recharge kit.

Options include: shotgun, disrupter, microphone, charge placement, loudspeakers, and spotlight.
