Micro-Vee

This Israeli design is meant to be used by commanders down to company level. It is lightweight, lacking in many of the refinements of larger UAVs, but is cheap and able to be easily operated. It is launched by a bungee catapult from a small vehicle such as a HMMWV or Land Rover, and parachute-landed. It can provide valuable information about the enemy without exposing friendly troops to danger.

The Micro-Vee (
Micro-V) is a neat little mini-UAV, powered by twin 3 kW (4 horsepower) piston engines, one in a nacelle on each wing driving a pusher propeller. It has no landing gear. The Micro-Vee appears to be too small to carry a full sensor turret, carrying a miniaturized imager in a transparent section built into the middle of its fuselage.

Micro-Vee is Surveillance & Reconnaissance Tactical UAV Twin engine 8 hp total, 50 kg take of weight, 8 kg of payload, 5 hrs endurance, up to 15,000 ft. altitude and 50 km range. Field operation with point launch and recovery.
